At Sparrow, I focus on the day to day operations, and make sure our team is set up with the best technology and tools to provide the best possible experience.

I was born into transportation, and have been around it my entire life. My grandparents owned Don-Lee trucking up in northwest Iowa for 30 years, which is why I respect the industry and value carrier relationships. Being at Sparrow allows me to have relationships with both carriers and customers, while providing exceptional service.

I’m married to my hometown sweetheart, and have two crazy dogs. I love anything to do with the outdoors — like golf, going to the lake, or making the drive to the mountains. During the weekends you can catch me cheering on the Huskers and the Green Bay Packers.

UNIQUE FACT: I played Tennis and Football at the collegiate level. (Weird Combo)

At Sparrow, I am the “sales guy”. My responsibilities vary from pricing to generating new business to ensuring our current and future clients are smiling and happy.

Logistics was never my first choice out of Dana College, I actually never knew it existed. But after failing my last insurance test, God placed me in front of the right people, and I have never looked back. Now with over 15 years of experience in the transportation industry, I am excited to join and lead the Sparrow sales team to the next level. My favorite part of the job is pouring my expertise into my team to grow and develop them. Since I have dabbled in about every mode of transportation, there hasn’t been anything I haven’t encountered already. I love the challenge to provide the best solutions to our customers while out-thinking Sparrow’s competitors.

I am married to an amazing woman and have 3 awesome kids, and also 2 golden retrievers that keep me busy. I love Jesus, sports, the Detroit Lions, Houston Astros, and Chinese buffets.

UNIQUE FACT: I am aspiring to be a whiz on the piano and am currently taking lessons.

At Sparrow, I’m a Business Development Specialist. I generate new business and build strong relations with clients. I learn about their goals and how Sparrow can partner with them to accomplish them!

For the last 4 years, I’ve been in the medical staffing world, helping hospitals solve staff shortages while developing relationships with the hospital and the staff. Previously, I was a Project Manager at a Roofing company. Building trust is key to what I do.

I enjoy Sports — football, basketball, and hockey. When I’m not watching sports, you can find me outdoors — game hiking, fishing, and hunting.

UNIQUE FACT: I played college basketball and love hunting in the field with my German Shorthair Pointer, Nova.

At Sparrow, I am a Logistics Analyst! My day-to-day is filled with communicating with our partner carriers to ensure their equipment and expertise meet our customer's freight needs. I continue that communication throughout the transit process until the freight makes the delivery.

Previously, I worked in the food production industry building relationships with drivers in the LTL and FTL world. I am a master at building relationships and enjoy meeting new people.

When I am not working you can find me playing on a Co-ed Men’s slow-pitch softball team, at the gym, or attending a yoga class when I can.

UNIQUE FACT: I played a year of baseball in college at Midland University. I also like to go on runs and am currently training to run a half-marathon.

I graduated from Iowa State University with a Supply Chain Degree and uses that expertise daily while coordinating logistics between carriers and clients.

When I am not working (or in Nebraska) you can find me surfing and snowboarding.

UNIQUE FACT: I wrestled for 4 years in college at Iowa State University.

Introducing Jake, one of our Logistics Specialists! Jake graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Supply Chain Management! He enjoys golfing as much as possible, exercising, and spending time outdoors. If you can't find him on the course, you'll most likely find him at a football game!

At Sparrow, I am a Logistics Specialist! He's obsessed with golfing 21 handicaps and is dangerously close to starting his own golf YouTube channel to showcase how bad golfers can be. When he's not golfing, Jason is a huge history buff and is reading Hero of Two Worlds by Mike Duncan about the Marquis de Lafayette! Also, he’s had quite the adventures by getting engaged at the Grand Canyon (even though he’s been married for a few years now), then spending the next night snowed in at a rest stop in Wagon Mound, NM, just trying to make it back home.
